What do you need to know? 1. Decomposing Numbers  ex 14 = 1 ten and 4 ones, Place value 2. Representing numbers  standard form  ex. 16, 435  expanded form ex 10, 000 + 6, 000 + 400 + 30 + 5 3. Squares and Square roots 4. Exponents 5. making a factor set  20 (1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20) 6. Prime and Composite Numbers (ex  write the first 10 prime numbers  2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, etc) 7. Factor Trees 8. the product of prime factorization 9. Greatest Common Factor, Least Common Multiple (Venn diagram, word problems) 10. Adding Integers  using a number line or the adding rule 11. Mental Math  adding strategies Use these rules to tell whether a number is divisible by 2, ,3 ,4 ,5, 6, 8, 9, or 10.
