What do you need to know? 1. Decomposing Numbers - ex 14 = 1 ten and 4 ones, Place value 2. Representing numbers - standard form - ex. 16, 435 - expanded form ex 10, 000 + 6, 000 + 400 + 30 + 5 3. Squares and Square roots 4. Exponents 5. making a factor set - 20 (1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20) 6. Prime and Composite Numbers (ex - write the first 10 prime numbers - 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, etc) 7. Factor Trees 8. the product of prime factorization 9. Greatest Common Factor, Least Common Multiple (Venn diagram, word problems) 10. Adding Integers - using a number line or the adding rule 11. Mental Math - adding strategies Use these rules to tell whether a number is divisible by 2, ,3 ,4 ,5, 6, 8, 9, or 10.
